Seven things, or maybe 1,000

I'm trying to implement a great new system for de-cluttering the house: the seven things challenge. The idea is to get rid of one thing every day, or seven each week. We urgently need something like this. Actually, I'd like to get set a goal of 1,000 things and see how quickly I can get that much crap out of our lives, but seven/week is more realistic. Feet of clay, or something like that. More like feet stuck in playdoh.

The kitchen is an easy place to start. If I can get some time tomorrow, I think I'll be culling extraneous gadgets.
